OUR HISTORY
Our firm was founded on October 16, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan by Gerald C. Schroeder. Upon leaving the firm of Walsh & Company and Walsh College, Mr. Schroeder opened his first office in the Penobscott Building in downtown Detroit. Mr. Schroeder operated as a sole practitioner until November 1951 when he formed a partnership with one of his valued employees. Mr. Schroeder had a long and prestigious career in public accounting. He served as the Vice President of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, President of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants, Chairman of the Michigan State Board of Accountancy where he was appointed to three terms by two different Governors and served as a Director and a Vice President of the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy.Mr. Schroeder passed away on January 3, 1995.
